Deep Breathing & Relaxation for Anxiety

Anxiety can sneak up on us, especially when we're striving to do something we're not accustomed to.

Surprisingly, the following Tapping script often invites heart-centered revelations as much as it invites oxygen into our cells, engaging our relaxation response and calming our nervous system. Deceptively simple, it packs a powerful punch.

Use this script often, particularly when you feel tightness around your chest or you feel unable to take a deep breath.           (IMPORTANT NOTE: Tapping and Tapping scripts are not intended as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Seek medical attention when necessary.)

Let's Tap ...

Take a deep breath. Now, take another deep breath and this time determine to what percent you're able to fill your lungs with air. 20%? 50%? 90%?  How does that feel?

Where are you at on the scale? (see scale below)  (If this question doesn't make sense, check out this video.)

Tap through this script slowly, taking deep breaths throughout.

Let's tap ...
